Who these lessons are for

Polina teaches people who've never sung a note and singers who perform and record.

  1. BeginnerYou've never had lessons, or it's been years since you sang

    You don't need to know anything yet. Polina starts from the very beginning and explains every exercise in plain words.

    • Singing in tune is a skill you can learn, like any other.
    • Nobody grades you or compares you to anyone else.
    • You start on the same foundation Polina uses with professional singers: Estill Voice Training.

    Polina will get you to a solid level. Going further depends mostly on you: how much you practice between lessons.

  2. Developing singerYou sing for fun

    You already sing, but the same note works one day and not the next. In lessons you'll learn why and how to control your voice.

    • Polina explains what your vocal folds, larynx and soft palate are doing at that moment.
    • Estill Voice Training breaks singing down into separate movements, and you can learn to control each one.
    • Once you understand a technique, you can repeat it on your own.
  3. ProfessionalYou perform or record

    Lessons built around your goal:

    • belting, mixed voice, high notes without pushing;
    • a voice that gets tired by the end of a show or cracks at the break;
    • getting ready for a show, a recording or an audition by a set date.

    You'll know exactly what your voice is doing and can fix it yourself before a show.

What to expect in your vocal assessment

  1. A few questions and your setup
  2. A chat and a vocal assessment
  3. Your written plan

Frequently asked questions

Ask your own question

Most likely, yes. When people say they're tone-deaf, it usually means their ear and voice haven't learned to work together yet, and that can be trained. Your first lesson will show where to start.

Lessons are one-on-one, so Polina is the only person who hears you. You pick the style and the songs, and there's no pressure to get on stage.

Yes. All you need is a stable internet connection and headphones. Lessons run on Zoom, and after each one you get homework and materials.

Polina teaches the Estill method, so she tells you exactly what to do with your voice instead of vague advice like “sing from your diaphragm.” Tell her about your past experience in the first lesson, and she'll work out what's already working and what's getting in the way.

With a vocal assessment: 40 minutes, a close look at your voice, your first exercises and a written plan. You don't have to buy a package, but if you do within 7 days, the assessment fee counts toward it.

60 minutes one-on-one with Polina. After each lesson you get homework and materials, and between lessons Polina answers your messages.

It's a model that breaks the voice down into separate parts you can control. Read more on the Estill method page.

It depends on your goals and on how much you practice between lessons. After your assessment you'll get a written plan that lays out the steps ahead.

Prices are listed in euros, US dollars and rubles. Right now you can pay through a Wise link or in crypto, and card payments on the site are coming later. Your time slot is locked in once you've paid.

You can reschedule or cancel for free up to 24 hours before your lesson. You'll find the reschedule link in your confirmation message.

Your package starts with your first lesson, not on the day you buy it. If Polina cancels a lesson, we'll reschedule it and add a week to your package. Once per package, you can pause for up to two weeks if you're sick or traveling: just message Polina at least 24 hours before your lesson. You can pass unused lessons on to someone else as long as you tell Polina first. One package covers every subject, and you can mix vocal, piano, music theory, and ear training lessons. You can also give an assessment, a lesson, or a package as a gift. Gift certificates are valid for 6 months from purchase.
